Delays in shipping from DellXelkos, The production & shipping notification interface on the Dell website is = very inaccurate, the two (2) Dells (a Dim4600 & Insp1100), I ordered, = were up and running for several days, while they were still being listed = by Dell, as "in Production". Did you look at the shipping details for the Axims. It states that if = you add items to the basic package, additional days will will effect the = preliminary ship date listed for your item. Such as a memory card, will = add 10 days (business days (10+2 (weekend)=3D12 days) to the listed ship = date. If you order the product before Labor Day, you need to add one (1) = day. Delays in shipping from Dell Xelkos,=20 I would bet the companies that deliver for Dell (UPS, FED Ex, DHL, are = having shipping problems, because of a "GAL" named Katrina visit the US = at the beginning of the... Have you called Dell sales and see what the delay could be, is parts = such as the memory card (if you ordered one) is causing the delay, = especially if it is "Katrina" related. Or if the companies that Dell = uses, are being affected, to the point that it is causing delivery to = you. =20 --=20 Rich-rerat
Why no more parallel ports on Dell desktops nbsp; It is an unfortunate (and unnecessary, IMO) trend in the industry, and... Nope, live in Idaho. The handheld hasn't even shown progress in building, its been in=20 "pre-production" since it was ordered. Dell has no facilities in the = areas=20 that were hit by the hurricane. It is only the Axims that are delayed in shipping! Everything else gets=20 shipped on-time or sooner, and shows progress on their website. It's = just=20 the Axims that show zero progress in building. I am not the only one = who's=20 gotten their orders delayed up to three weeks now.
