Thanks for the help but it's not like any of the problems listed on their forum. It is an extremely high pitch frequency coming from, i believe, the processor. It is also on from start up to shutdown. I done some research online and I believe it is indeed the duo core processor itself. Some mac users are having, among other problems, the same problem as I am. It has something to do with power consumption, I think, because it does pause for a split second when you do something that put a tremendous load on the computer. So if any one has any ideas let me know. I'm about to return it and exchange it for the E1505 with the single core processor based on the number of posts I've read regarding this issue. But I'm peeed off, I shouldn't have to downgrade the comuter because of this but it gives me migraine headaches. A tech that came out to look at it said that he recenly talked to someone else who was getting headaches from her new lcd that was emitting the same noise. But I'm almost positive it's the processor, if you turn the computer upside down it's definitely coming from where the memory is. Granted I don't know a lot about computers...this is all deductive reasoning based on everything I have read. Hope this helps someone, I'll keep checking back.
