On Mon, 03 Apr 2006 09:27:03 -0600, Notan OK, well I guess I may have misread you and if so I apologize. My perception was that I...

Hi Ron,

See you below under quoted text ...

I noticed that the last photo on your web site didn't match the one in the PDF, so yes, I think it did miss some, hmm, I'll have to figure out what went wrong... I enjoyed looking at the photos.

You might want to check out the Canon S3 IS. If you search on Amazon you can find it. I have tried it out and the image stabilizaton at 12x optical zoom is fantastic. If you want to save some $, this is a good time to look for deals on the S2 IS. The main thing I don't like about the S2 is that it doesn't have a preset sport mode. The S3 does. I still don't know enough about f-stops, ISO, aperture, and something that starts with a "t" lol.

The S3 also can take video, and while you are recording the video, you can snap stills at the same time. The motor is silent enough that you either can't hear it or it's not distracting as you zoom in and out. The S3 will have more custom modes too -- it's a great time to get a new camera, that one would be really fun.

I have a Kodak 12x Image Stabilization camera (I think it's the 850). I got that over the Canon S2 because the Kodak is simply more fun. I tried both of them out. The Canon is technically far ahead, but it has a 1.8" pivotable LCD vs a 2.5" fixed on the Kodak. I decided that a nice LCD display improves my enjoyment.

Suggestion, if it's not to hard is to add next and previous links to your photo pages. That way someone can really enjoy just fast-forwarding through it, which would enable them to appreciate your great work more because it's far fewer clicks.

It's great that you know Lin-Unix. I might do that as sort of a hobby, if I can figure out what version to install and how to do it on my desktop (E510). I tried it once on my laptop but I couldn't get it to recognize my wireless card (Broadcom).

The page you generated would actually be very fun to code in Java. You've motivated me, I may do that. I like to write apps in which I am rewarded by sitting back and watching the computer do a lot of work automatically generating pages.

Yes, that is a great way to do it, and it is so true. You are definitely savouring the moments and stopping to smell the flowers (and at each tree and fire hydrant you happen to pbutt by lol).

She sure is.

You've encouraged me to break out my digital camera and take pictures. I like taking pictures of people, esp. the co-eds on campus. ;-)
