"Rebates are scams no matter what the product." If that is an all inclusive statement, it is most butturedly false as most such statements.

I am neither a shill or a fool but I have used rebates for years taking advantage of savings otherwise unavailable most of the time. To discard the savings and leave the $ to someone else would be foolish when I can use the $.

If you can make a statement and want credibility, you should change a few things: Quit making all inclusive statements as that immediately sends a red flag that it may be wrong, as it is in this case. Do not insult everyone in a particular group just because you are either unable or unwilling to use a rebate. This shows your own insecurity in your point and is a tactic often used by those attempting to quiet those with an opposing view. If you have a valid point and can make it without the insult, do so. If not, stand aside for those competent to do so.

I like rebates, they save me $ beyond what is the current lowest price available for me.
