There is nothing wrong with a little bit of side banter every now and then. Nobody is being insulting to anyone else. No curse words are being used. No defamation of character as in many groups.

This is not a moderated group. Anyone that finds this thread boring or not to their liking is not being forced to read it. You can choose not to do so. This is not Europe or the Middle East, the newsgroup is not controlled by fascists or dictators. Neither is it controlled by people who wish that only things that they approve of to be discussed.

This newsgroup is more like America, free. Kind of like the spirit that Usenet was originally developed in. The spirit of the freedom to express your ideas. Americans made this possible also, Americans created Usenet.

I understand that this is a tech help group. Mostly, that is all that occurs in this group. Every now and then a little detour from the mundane can help breathe life into a group and keep it from stagnating also.

It is just one thread, nobody is trying to take over the group. Relax.
