Which monitor should I get 691
I read a little article about them that said the Trinitron name was in the corner so I don't know about this one. $85 + $40 for shipping would be a great deal but it's...

Just yesterday I fought the battle to get my restore CDs mailed to me from Dell. During the conversation, the customer service rep mentioned that Dell has started a "Media Reduction Initiative" designed to make it easier for you to restore the PC. I told him this is a nice feature, but media should be included in case of total hard drive failure or in case of an upgrade. This must have been sound logic, because Dell is mailing my restore CDs to me.

Possibly another thing that helped was when I mentioned this is my 6th Dell PC and my father is on his 4th. Failure to provide the restore CDs was going to cause us both to find another PC manufacturer in the future.

My prediction is that all the bad publicity and swamped phone-chat representatives will lead to the dropping of the Media Reduction Initiative. Either they will drop it or see a drop of another kind...in sales. Just having to fight for the software I purchased with this PC makes me question if I will ever buy from them again.
