Dell's Optical Mouse Eats up Batteries 615Price: Dell vs Costco's Dell if you purchase from costco you get to take it home with you rather than wait for it to be built and arrive in the mail. costco has extremely generous... RRRNews The problem with rechargable AA batteries is that they are only 1.2 volts instead of the 1.5 volts for a normal aa battery. This is quite a diiference as each mouse requires 2 batteries, if you use recarcables you are only getting 2.4 volts as opposed to normal batteries 3 volts. This makes a huge difference, my Dell wireless mouse complains about the batteries being flat even after I have recharged the batteries for 15 hours. The Dell wireless keyboard on the other hand will run on the recharables for months. Quite surprisingly I can't find 1.5 volt AA recharable batteries anywhere. They all are only 1.2 volts. I don't know why these battery companies make such stupid decisions with their choices. I got caught out and bought an Energizer battery recharger with 4 batteries that cost about $60:00 Australian, the only thing that will take the batteries without complaining about them being flat is the Dell wireless keyboard. ricardo
