E1505 = I6400

The hardware is the same, but the base operating system and incentives are different between the E1505 and I6400.

The E1505 comes with Windows XP Media Center standard, the I6400 comes with XP Home standard. Currently both have upgrades to XP Pro for $149. Occasionally the Small Business upgrades to XP Pro have been $99.

Dell Home (where the E1505 is) occasionally has $650 or $750 off coupons.

Dell Small Business, as far as I know, doesn't have these kinds of coupons, or incentives quite as significant as $750 off (although I've seen the 710m Small Business at 34% off so I guess if one loads it up it could come out to be more than $750 off).

As a side note, I placed an order for an E1505 with the $750 off coupon as soon as it became available with a dedicated video card, earlier this week (paid for by a local agency that I volunteer for and used only for that agency, not for personal use -- I have my 630m for that). Even though it's not for personal use, it will be nice to have the 1505 and be able to evaluate it.
