You can have the restore CD ($10) and the hard drive restore. The restore CD might be rebutturing if you should ever decide to sell your laptop in the future. Warranties I sat in all day last Friday and all day yesterday waiting for Dell to send a laptop adapter on the collect and return... I'm glad you know the difference. Most people don't. I loved going back to it after Dell abandoned Synaptics for a while. It just takes a while to get use to. I had a 700m and the mouse buttons were not very good, but on my new 630m they are great. Any more info. on battery life is much appreciated. Microsoft to Delay New System March 22, 2006 Microsoft to Delay New System By STEVE LOHR and LAURIE J. Yes, truebrite makes quite a difference, especially compared to the rash of Dell complaints over the 6000 screen for a while. One disadvantage is if you are in an area in which the screen will reflect -- then it can be a pain. All I usually need to do in those situations is move the screen to a slightly different angle. I'm not sure how that's implemented. I tried it for the first time today, and am not exactly sure what I think of it. If it uses significantly less power to play MP3's, then it might be useful, although when I am out and about I usually pay attentionto people, not music. I walked around campus the other day and so many people who might otherwise be engaged were listening to their MP3 players. My Nokia cell phone plays MP3's and receives FM stereo. I think this would make for a good Saturday Night Live skit -- showing someone go through his-her entire day listening to music. Abba for a nice gentle wake-up while in the shower, Linkin Park on the way to work battling traffic, Robin Williams comedy while buying groceries and show the person laughing hysterically in the checkout line, Run DMC at work, walking through the aisles of cubbies doin' all the moves. E1505 first impressions 1656 I am not bashing it, although from the standpoint of an owner with a significant investement in a 6000 without those problems it might feel like it... Maybe have lip-reading clbuttes so that people can listen to their music continuously without having to stop their iPod. Or show everyone listening to their iPods using rap-like sign language :-) Journey
