First, thanks for taking pity on me. I have a lot to learn. Is there any way for me to put in the other 300gig drive? If not, I may have to get a USB2.0 HD enclosure. I was also looking at a USB 2.0 Networked Attached Storage device (like the Linksys that now supports FAT32), but someone talked me out of it, convincing me it was unnecessary and slow. I have a great house network with a 24 port switch. If the drive goes external or NAS, does that make it inappropriate for Disk Imaging. I guess I could always return it.

It is great news if am not going to have any issues reading the 300gig parbreastion with the basic system. Are you sure? I sure do see a lot of problems out there on the forums, especially with big Maxtor drives. Can Win XP MC format the 300gig drive? I have seen a lot about 32GB limits there. Do I want to do some sort of disk copy with XP, Ghost, or Maxblast (if so, which), or load the OS again on the other drive? Well, I am just repeating my initiial questions. You can see the boat I am in. Any help would be appreciated.
