Yeah, not like the 4000 4100 generation which was very flimsy.
I've found, using both, that a good laptop bag like the Targus I posted about distributes the weight so the difference is small, with some of my other laptop bags I feel it more. Also, carrying either by itself or with one book isn't bad, but if I were a student that had to carry the laptop any distance I'd go with the 14".
Did you get the Truebrite screen? I did, at WSXGA+, and wow, it's probably the best laptop screen I've ever had (or seen). I have seen the "normal" screen at Dell kiosks and vastly prefer the Truebrite on both my E1505 and 630m.
On my E1505 there is no variation. On my 630m there is a barely detectable spot in the lower left corner that isn't as brite. The Truebrite vs. the normal screen difference is dramatic.
I want to control Winamp with Media Direct but don't know how (and haven't spent much time trying to find out yet but it wasn't obvious how to do that from the setting screens).
Yes, Dell does a great job when it comes to self-service.
They still exist.
One on one service is hit and miss. If at the beginning of a call it's apparent that the service person might not be as helpful as I need, I hang up and call back. The support in India is, regrettably, getting better.
