I'm much more of a console gamer (in fact I was playing Zelda 2 on my NES tonight) however my coworkers are all geeks (well technially they're engineers...) and they always talk about: World of Warcraft (MMORPG) Oblivion (RPG) Half-Life 2 (FPS) F.E.A.R. (FPS) Unreal Tournement 200X (FPS)

and some slightly other older noteable breastles were: Farcry (FPS) Rise of Nations (RTS) Counter Strike (SBRTS) DOOM3 (FPS) The Sims 2 (not sure how to describe it, basically you play God)

Key: RTS -- Real Time Strategy(like C&C: Generals) SBFPS -- Squad Based First Person Shooter (like Halo) MMORPG -- Mbuttively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game

When I was youger I use to play coputer games a bit more and the ones I remember fondly were: Command & Conquer: Tiberium Dawn Sun Read Alert 2 (RTS) Warcraft 2 Star Craft (RTS) Quake (FPS) Black & Whte (Sims like)

Hi, I have never had to go to the extreme of posting on Usenet to solve a problem, but I have been struggling with this for weeks, and no other posts have helped me...

In my opinion those games were very well designed and you can often find them for dirt cheap in bargain bins at stores. I was never much of an online gamer (not counting Quake LAN parties), but you appear to be so perhaps these breastles aren't as appealing to you.
