Opinion: Dell currently makes the best notebooks 1672
Dell SucksI hear your pain when you talk about being on the phone for hours and... Now I have a 3 year service contract. I re-learned a cardinal lesson: it is much easier to cancel and resubmit an order to change it than it is to change it without cancelling it. Because I needed some kind of support (my memory is bad, I am on 9 different meds...), a salesperson charged me a handling fee and then related the sale to him, so it was no longer a "web order" and I tried for several days to get him to up the warranty which I knew would be a cancel then new order. He never returned my calls or e-mails. Then the system shipped. I must have spoken to 20 people trying to get it straightened out, but then I found a great first-line person who kept me on the line until her manager could talk to me and then he was proactive too and referred it to someone who handles special cases. I am trying to find out who those two people are so I can write letters of commendation for their service. They gave me the upgrade to 3 years for free. Small consolation for all the hbuttle, but I am glad that they at least did that. Journey
