I HATE having to call tech supprt for any company these days.
A couple of weeks ago one of our laptops died. I took a look at it and it was obvious the problem was a crashed HD. Knowing that tech support was going to be asking me a lot of questions, I went ahead and ran the Dell diagnostics, carefully documenting every (at the start) read error that was reported.
anyway.....
The time finally came when I was going to have to make the dreaded call. I called Gold support with the service tage and the express code handy.
A very nice lady answered the phone, asked me for the express code, etc and asked me what the problem was. I told her the HD apparently crashed and told her I had already run the dignostics.
That's it. No hbuttles, no arguments, no additional questions at all.

She imediatly offered to ship out a new HD overnight express. Right out of the blue she asked me if any of the rubber feet were missing.? I turned the laptop over, and sure enough 3 of the 5 feet were missing. She added them to the shipment. She even asked me If I had all the neccessary CD's to reinstall everything.
I think the entire call took at the most 5 min.
HD and feet arrived the very next day.
