Returning Dell Products 1614Hi, to address part of your post, some retail stores have had restocking fees. Comp USA did a few years ago, but doesn't now. There are a few other stores that do or did have a restocking fee -- when I buy retail I always ask what the return policy is. For Dell products, I think it is 21 days, not 30 days. Be sure to verify this especially if you are nearing the 21 days. Dell is not flexible after 21 days. I was lucky and got to return a 2005FPW monitor when it was 22 days. The thing going for me is that I was going to buy a 2405FPW, otherwise I think I would not have been able to return it. That is saying a lot because I am probably in the 99th percentile of buttertiveness. What is the reason you are returning it? What type of computer is it? Have you customized it in any way that affects the hardware that can't be undone? Returning Dell Products 1615 dell certainly used to be more liberal about returns then they are these days but still... When I had to return my defective Inspiron 6000, the first person I talked to said that I had to pay that fee, and she stuck to that. I asked to talk to a supervisor, and she said "Sir, you don't have to be rude with me". I said "I don't mean to be rude but give me your f*ing I was just persistent about escalating. You can always talk to a manager. It's much harder if you're dealing with someone in India (are you returning Small Business or Home?). Even in India you can talk to a supervisor but it is very hard (or I should say was hard when I asked to speak to a supervisor). Are you planning on buying a different Dell system to replace the one you're returning? Please let us know how it turns out. Journey
