Software to Speedup DSLsays... No such thing. DSL, like any other data hookup, has a hardware rate cap to it. The final decision on speed for any given line is made at the DSLAM in the telco central office. Get AdAware and Spybot Search and Destroy. Use them to thoroughly scan your system for adware and other crap, and remove it. Also, AVG anti-virus beats the pants off Symantec. It's also possible that you may be at the outer limit of cable mileage for a DSL connection. Check with your carrier on that. The only other thing I will add is that Forte Agent was discontinued long before Windows X(tra)P(ain) was so much as a gleam in the eye of Microcrap's R&D department.
