Spare parts done right, at least

I guess my recent experience with Dell goes to show that one's mileage will vary. Widely.

January 10th: Discovered a nasty crack in the plastic on my Labreastude C640 laptop, along the top left edge of the palm rest buttembly (the part that surrounds the keyboard and holds the glide-pad). God only knows how it got there, as I certainly don't abuse my hardware.

Called Dell's Parts Dept., worked for about ten minutes with a nice lady with good English who helped me identify the replacement part required and order it. Total cost: About $35 with tax and shipping. Was told it would ship no later than January 16th.

January 13th (Today): The part arrives. In perfect condition. AND it's the right one! It took me twenty or so minutes of work with various screwdrivers to put it in place, and everything working perfectly.

In summary: Helpful customer agent, reasonably-priced replacement parts, lightning-like shipping. No problems!

   Keep the peace(es).
