Verizon DSL Rots

Same here with cable service. DSL often has to deal with a telephone system that was not designed with high speed data transmission in mind. Depending on where you live, and sometimes what side of the street you live on, DSL can be fabulous or furious. The telcos are working to upgrade their networks and other equipment and I have no doubt that eventually DSL will work as well for just about everyone as it does for you.

The thing with DSL is that it's often hard for anyone to predict just how good your service will be until it's actually hooked up. I had cable service for several years before DSL became available in my neighborhood and that cable service was, as continues to be, very reliable, so I thought it better to leave well enough alone.
