When did Dell start integrating USB 2.0

Thanks all for the pointers, I appreciate it. Tim, I hear you, I recently went to one of those computer shows where they have 100 small vendors in a high school gym and I wasn't really impressed by the prices, of course, if i wanted an old part or some tricked out Mobo and didn't want the hbuttle of ebay, those shows are not a bad option, but in general, i didn't see there anything that I could get for substantially less than the big box retailers.

I'll start shopping around for those systems that you all mention, although I have to tell you, those Dell E510-5150 look really sweet, for a little bit more money, of course.

I didn't want to spend more than a couple of hundred, and I do have some stuff that I can pbutt on from the old system; monitor, hard drive, sound card, even the video card I have it's not too bad to start with, or the ATA-100 controller if the system only has SATA ports.

What I wanted to avoid is getting what looked like a great deal on a system with a dead technology like RDRAM and then pay the price later cuz you can't get RDRAM for less than an arm and a leg.

About the Optiplexes, you are totally right to be careful. At work we have some of those and we've had to change the motherboard on a GX260, 270 and GX280 just in the last year.

Again, I thank you for the input and I'll keep reading the NG if you have more suggestions or opinions on Dells.
