Which Core 2 Duo 2221Your comment about the Dimension 9200 has really got me curious. Currently, I have an old Dimension 4100 which will be six years old at Xmas. Surprisingly, it is still running but can no longer adequately meet my needs (or my patience level). I've been looking mostly at the XPS 700 but have also looked at the Dimension 9200. It seems clear that the XPS 700 is the much better machine but just how much better? Dell LCD Touch Screen E153FPTc will not stay on, blank, black screen My problem was that I have a Dell LCD Touch Screen model E153FPTc. After I turn... I'm not a gamer and my needs are overwhelmingly business related. However, I'm getting more and more into multimedia type applications so that is a major consideration as well. I also need to have a modem which it seems is not available for the 700. Can this be added to the system some how directly at the factory? I would love to get a new machine which would last me a long time with few if any problems. Is the XPS 700 overkill for someone with my needs or should I buy the extra power now for use in the future? The only thing I've decided on for sure is that I want a minimum of 2GB of RAM and a Core 2 Duo chip (but which one?!). I also plan on getting Windows Vista Ultimate if that has any major impact on my decision. TIA for any advice or additional input. Brian there!
