LCD screen addressing is fundamentally different from that of raster scan screen, and the drivers are 32-bit, but win95 is 16-bit.

Well, it looks like it's time to retire my 5 year old (CRT) P991 Trinitron...

You may not have gotten sound card driver cd. But there must be sound card drivers installed on your system. Check your AUTOEXEC.BAT file and see if there is a line with "Creative".

Maybe somebody here send you one for free that was for the system no longer in use if there is a way to contact you?

That went thru my mind when I suggested the Hyundai LCD and almost suggested getting a new computer that comes with decent monitor. For example, think you can get a Dimension 3000 w17" LCD for $450. (ebay has one listing with current bid at $266+$100 ship)

Think Windows upgrades have an option to save the old Windows settings that will restore to the old in case something goes awry.

Majority of LCD monitors have no DVI capability. DVI capable monitors are typically $50 more expensive. And non-DVI monitors function just fine. IIRC, someone posted that analog mode performed better than digital mode!
