WinXP disk 1425

Thanks for the replies. Sorry if I have wasted bandwidth but for anyone annoyed that it is an old issue, you should know by now if the subject line contains WinXP CD what it is about. If you don't want to read it, don't click it. I still have not found the CD option on the US configuration page for the Dimension B110, but I will do as Lars wrote and burn the CD myself including the Dell specific drivers. System restore options are fine but I really wanted to try to keep the system minimal and install it myself. I wanted to spend as little time on this as possible so I will just ghost it every night (reason for keeping it minimal install). Unfortunately I had to get it loaded with other software for our business, but I can remove a lot of the junk and use decent size hard drives for backups.

It seems there are a lot of knowledgeable people here that say it is o.k. for Dell and others to mislead. While it may be impossible to change how things are now, it doesn't make it "o.k." and your acceptancedefense-justification advice is sort of like telling someone "It's o.k. . It is just the way things are now. Just ask them if they would supply some KY jelly when they butt-rape you." It is the compliant atbreastude that has led to "the way things are now" (and or have been for a long time).

I do thank you for your help in making it less painful and the knowledge that I am not alone. This is the first prebuilt computer I have bought and I have learned my lesson. Genuine Windows XP does not = CD 2+2=5 ... 2+2=5... -Phil C
