Many people do indeed report a problem, but i`ve never seen it myself. That doesn`t mean there isn`t one, just that I haven`t been unlucky enough to come across it.

Most of the moderators on the forums think its a problem "my" end, but:
a) nothing changed except steam
b) a 2nd machine i`ve got had a fresh install 2 weeks before it broke, had been used once, and not played on again. Once steam updated that also failed.
c) At least 5 other manufacturers have equipment that have been affected (i`ve been keeping track)... SMC7004VBR Router, Motorola Surfboard, Linksys, Motorola N3 Residential Gateway (RG2200), d-link di-524 router, dlink dl624+ connected to alcatel speed touch home adsl modem
d) disabling DMZ now gets "some" people back on, but not all, and you don`t have to be behind a router to get the problem.
