dell sx270's randomly won't bootSeveral of these dell sx270's are used where I work. Recently several of them will not turn on when the power button is pressed. They will appear to be starting up but after roughly two seconds just shut back down. The power led on the moboard stays lit the whole while. There is no beeping. After I remove the cover and basically stir things up(take out and put back the memory sticks, do the same with the fan), they turn on just fine, and continue to work under my supervision. They are not very dusty, and kept on library tables where there is plenty of air to breathe. This is frustrating because I cannot recreate the problem in my office and the solution I have come up with seems more like voodoo then tech support. After I return them, it is just a matter of time before they return to me with the same problem. I have checked the capacitors as mentioned in other posts but they seem to be fine on all but one. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. When should I really defrag 589 Another alternative is to automatically delete the swapfile at shutdown, then you don't have to worry about it fragmenting over time. Takes a few extra seconds to shutdown... James Murgolo
