1. Should I take the 3 warranty?

If you can afford to, I would go with the 4 yr warranty. But whichever warranty you purchase, get the additional Accidental CompleteCare coverage. This will cover damage caused by user, where the straight warranty may only cover worn-out parts over time.

2. Do they ship with the XP disk? What is the difference between PC Restore recovery system by Symantec and Genuine Windowså¨ XP Home Edition backup CD?

The Restore by Symantec is a Hidden parbreastion on the HDD, that will bring the PC back to factory level. You can burn a copy of the Installation CD, if your PC comes with a CD-DVD Burner. I would make sure that you purchase the burner with DVD capabilities. But this is a one time event. I would recommend for an additional $10.00, that you order the XP CD also, as a backup. I have read, that you can still make a copy of XP, from the Hidden parbreastion.

3. I will buy a wireless router with the computer. What is the difference between the 4 avalable on the web site?

If you do not have to use Dell credit for your purchase of the wireless router, consider looking at the major PC stores for the same products, you might find significant savings, especially if there is a rebate offered during this month.

4. Is there any other option I should consider? I have a Dell Inspiron 1100, which is consider at the low end of the laptop line. I personally think it is very good, but a little bulky and heavy, if I had to tote it around all the time. I would make sure that you get a model that is able to upgrade its RAM. I personally think that XP should be running with at least 512MB, others may differ. It runs alright at 256MB, better at 384MB. If you plan to do any online gaming (such as Pogo, YahooGames, etc..), or work alot with graphic files, you really should have at least 512MB in my opinion. The Accidental CompleteCare coverage came in handy right after I receive the unit, due to some spilled coffee.

I've own 2 dell already and I was very happy with them. So now I am looki9ng for a laptop and I have a few questions. Does Dell laptop are as good as their desktop? Should I take the 3 warranty? I have no bluetooth hardware buth should I take the bluetooth option anyway? I might want to add a bluetooth mouse later... does it worth it?

Is there any other option I should consider?
