Negative. GNU-Linux works fine, Windows raises the impression that it works fine.

There are far more games out for Windows. However, there are also loads of games for GNU-Linux, and the gaming experience isn't any better on Windows.

Windows *is* multi-tasking, although its multi-user functionality is, debatable - I personally feel that it isn't a true multi-user OS. A rogue application taking the computer down has more to do with the intrinsic insecurities of Windows and with Microsoft's notorious lack of commitment to quality and bugfixing.
