Since I can't find the post I was thinking of, I'll retract that claim.
Are you going to claim that Akamai chose Linux because it was *more* expensive? harder to do? couldn't do the job?
yeah, we've had your "everything I claim is opinion, unless I specify otherwise" discussion before, do you want to revisit it? An Open Letter To The Linux Enthusiasts. 17400 begin KillFileMe.vbs That's nice. Maybe you can take a shot at addressing the point instead of making up new ones that have no relationship to what was raised. I'll help by rephrasing it...
again with the car analogy... more similar to taking one off of my factory floor, and driving it. In your whacked out analogy, MS is already a car company, but they bough a compebreastors machines because, well, they were cheaper, and would do the job just fine... MS pays a significant penalty in mindshare, not eating their own dog food on this. Using the Akamai solution, with Linux, must make so much sense, that it's worth that loss to them. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.5 (GNU-Linux) iD8DBQFCrRbjd90bcYOAWPYRAvJlAJ4pBDV0MN4nnKHNKe5EK6CsBLaEvwCg4+j8 COu8VqjQEbiMIGnigywwdWc= =Cb-z -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- Everything starts to make sense, when you realise that the average person is stupid.
