this is from the slackware news group. heck, aol is still alive because people just want to use their machine. not have the machine rule them..

the only change you have is that it is free.

look at this from the slack news group. i can't see any user having to mess with this. since it is free, people should be all over linux. if apple said free mac's, they be gone in 3 minutes, with people in line for a month in advance.

but you don't get the part of making it easy to use.

My machine has two DVD RW drives attached, but only the first one is being fully detected:

Why Linux works for some, and Windows works for others
The Wintards seem to have all of these problems with Linux that others don't. Yet for some reason they fail to have any problems whatsoever on Windows even when there are plenty of examples...
