Another one bites the dust 649
I haven't actually seen any Windows advocates calling the user names. Perhaps your can find one. The linux side uses the term Winidiot and similar a lot, though. Just above I note the term "end luser" which seems derogatory to me. It would not be in the interests of the Windows advocates to paint their customers as idiots or losers, so I doubt that it is done very often. I thought you were one of the MS-free crowd. How is it that you are calling the support center. Indeed, if you got Windows as part of your new computer purchase, you would be calling the OEM's support center, not Microsoft's. It is hard to imagine that you would be buying Windows at retail yourself. Another one bites the dust 650 billwg Maybe not you, but I have seen it on many occasions in here and else where... I have a MSDN Universal subscription and have called Microsoft support on a number of occasions regarding issues that do arise from time to time and have always found them curteous and eager to find the cause of the problem. Most times, they have the solution at hand, since someone else has usually already reported the problem. I wouldn't give him any endorsement, either. I looked at that site, though, and it seems innocent enough. A lot of focus on how to battle spam and malware.
