There really doesn't seem to be anything to react to. Just going by the bits you quoted, the article seems a bit confusing. They start out talking about how they only used Linux for their desktop, however most of the comparisons when evaluating OS X were to Windows XP, not Linux.

She did jump back and forth in a rather disjoint way... It is fairly configurable, though not as much...

I am rather shocked at how poor or a showing Linux has shown me here. I did not...

For myself, I can say that there is a distro of Linux out there for everybody, depending on what your hardware, needs and wants are. It's just a matter of choosing the one that works best for you, just like you would pick out a car that best fits your preferences.

In this, Linux is wholely different from commercial platforms like OS X and Windows. Unlike these, where you are pretty much stuck with what you get; with Linux, there is a slew of options available to a person.

Yes, when I can get it to work. But thank you for asking... from another post, one posted after your comments, but I will repeat it here: --------- Just tried, again, to work with both...

If OS X isn't working out for you, what options do you have? An older version maybe?

How about Windows XP? Don't like it, tough.

But if you find that Redhat isn't your bag, you can try Suse, or Mandrake, or Fedora, or Debian, or Slackware, or Gentoo, or Linspire, or Xandros, or Ubuntu, or any number of various distros all with various strengths and weaknesses.

There is a Linux distro out there for everyone, possibly even two or more! ;-)
