There are still some crappy deals from the likes of HP, Dell and Gateway that include 15 inchers. Not many, but some...

Sinister Midget

I'm curious to know how they managed to obtain 15inch monitors as I didn't think they were still being manufactured now that 17inch monitors are available here in the UK for under 60ukpounds - I'm guessing that they offered the manufacturers a pittance to dispose of them to get costs down for both sides of the deal (a manufacturer with a warehouse full of hard-to-sell 15inch monitors may even find it cheaper to give them to a budget PC supplier AND pay the shipping than pay the costs of scrapping them now many countries require recycling of most of the parts).

At my local monthly computer fair dealers are struggling to give away anything under 17inch now many buyers want LCD's - I have seen dealers selling used 17inch monitors for 15ukpounds and 15inch for under 5 (even free from some dealers just to get rid of them and still no-one looked interested in taking them home).

My current monitor is a 21inch Mitsubishi Diamondtron (similar to trinitron tube) bought used from one of these fairs for just 18ukpounds (the dealer even showed it working on his PC before selling) a couple of months ago.
