This is true but so very few people realize this, unfortunately. The Mac, Linux, Solaris and others offer far superior products compared to Microsoft. You know it, I know it and 99 percent of the people in USENET groups know it. The problem is, the public at large doesn't have a clue and lukewarm support from the likes of IBM and such (try and find Linux on their PC webpages, it's a crying shame) does nothing to help matters.

Believe it or not, I'm a Linux supporter, but I don't march with the choir. When I find faults, I scream but I am also Linux's best friend when I find things that WAD and are good.

There are people in COLA that seem to have it together and you guys would be far more useful advocating Linux than fighting with second rate trolls.

William, kier, Rick, Sinister,Ghost,Greycloud, Daeron and even DrSquare and his partner DrScab seem to know Linux well and could be useful converting people.

The word I get is that the mbuttes have had it with Windows, they are not ready for Linux quite yet, but they can be worked with. My advice is to focus on the amount of time wasted maintaining Windows (spyware etc) and the REAL cost of a SMB running legal copies of Windows and it's software.

One last thing, you can get more flies with honey than vineger. I realize this group is a wasteland but it is still a place where Linux can be advocated, but only in an honest fashion.

Screaming "it works for me and you must be an idiot" is the absolute worst thing anyone can do.

Offering honest advice is the best thing.
