On 2006-04-19, Tim Smith spake thusly:

What tripe. Linux users are mean people and snobs? Sometimes. What part of the world do you live in if you believe that Mean snobs are exclusively the domain of Linux, or for that matter even a significant majority of the Linux community? Be real. The Linux community is one of the most supportive user communities out there, as is BSD.

By the way, if you think that COLA exists exclusively to extoll the virtues of Linux, or be the official Linux embbuttadors, you are ignorant or choosing to present yourself that way. It is a place to have fun, talk about all manner of topics (including, but not exclusive to, Linux) and argue from time to time. Oh, and kick trolls in the butt. It's usenet, not the church of Linux. Get over it.

"Linux is for people who hate windows; BSD is for people who love Unix"

I didn't see this sentence in the article but I will take it at face value. It's garbage. The trendy, meaningless, gimmick sig line of the month.

Linux going to be big in China 3737

Mathew
