I don't think you understand the meaning of the word 'sub-standard'. Otherwise you'd be applying it to Windows, not GNU-Linux.
GNU-Linux is something like 30% faster on the same hardware. At least, for me. It's more than half again the speed with butthat on the EPIA box in the other room.

I don't believe I have ever seen Konqueror segfault. It's certainly not common. But Kubuntu is widely recognized as a buggy distro.
