Linux: Linus Clarifies the Linux Trademark This one's for Bilge (though I know it's not going to make him stop trolling this matter). ---------------------------------------------------------- Linux: Linus Clarifies... A lot of bullpoo, bob, and not very contemporaneous. Are you saying that you are one of the liars that have misled people like K? You should be ashamed. You allude to secret terms in contracts, but there are no such things. The DOJ long ago subpoenaed all of the contracts from all of the large OEMs and found nothing of the sort. Perhaps you need to presume such a clause in order for your conspiracy to be effective, but that is only in your mind. Quit misleading the unfortunates like K. LinuxElectrons Daily Digest 11277 This is the daily digest from LinuxElectrons for 09-08-05 To stop receiving the Daily Digest, or to change the 'Topics', login and use 'FrontPage Preferences'. Stop by the forums... There is nothing to find, bob. The only truth to the matter is that the vast majority of Windows computer purchasers have become accustomed to Windows and no matter how many little geeks run around showing their tail feathers and professing to have understandings beyond the ordinary person, they cannot come up with any good and cogent reasons to present to the ordinary consumer. They prefer to talk tongues over (they think) everyone's head. The OEMs are not persuaded in the least. They will sell what people want to buy, period. If a buyer insists on a linux pre-install or even a blank machine, they will supply them if their costs of doing that incremental business are paid. The main problem with linux buyers is that they don't want to pay the price.
