Are you kidding? I can't turn on the TV without seeing an advertisement for a Dell machine. I can't remember the last time I have seen an HP commercial. Same for blowins in mags and so forth.

Where is your proof of Linux DVD's shipped with HP machines? Again, not server machines but home machines. I don't see anything on their web pages.

Where are you getting this from?

HP is offering an extremely limited number of models with Linux. Look for yourself.

How can you POSSIBLY come to the conclusion that , Linux is what is keeping HP's profits high? Are you nuts?

Duhh,,,, If Linux was making so much money for HP don't you think they would offer it on the rest of their desktop line?

After all, according to YOU, they have Linux friendly machines that come with DVD's that have Linux drivers included.

Proof..... Have you ever actually looked inside some of these machines?

I suggest you do because you will see Dell use off the shelf components. HP? Well lets just say how do you fit a standard pwrsupp in one of those cases? Dell has not always been like this, but they have changed in the past few years.

So where is your proof?

About the only place I found was Mei Microcenter and those machines, like the typical Linux offerings (Walmart) are over priced.
