Do any LiveCD's include BRLCAD

Is there anyone on here who knows of a Knoppix type CD that includes the BRLCAD package.

My father uses 3D CAD packages (solidworks-solidedge) for work and his employer (only a small company) has some interest in switching to Linux (it's already used for their servers - they're now frustrated that the desktops aren't as reliable as their server.

They've already tried their current CAD package on WINE a while ago and failed (presumably due to it's Dongle protection) so I'm interested in finding a LiveCD that can be used to evaluate BRLCAD to see if it's suitable for their uses (seems good enough to me but then I've only been playing with it for fun) - the other alternative of trying BRLCAD on windows first will take a while as the Win32 port isn't ready for general download release (so it's currently only available for UNIX, Linux and OSX except to those who used it pre-opensource).

Be careful what you ask for - you may get it. Our small school district is 100% MS, mostly XP by now with a few 98...

As far as I can tell from speaking to Dad They no longer have the Desktop linux install they tried their existing CAD on so cannot easily go for the simple option of just installing the linux version on this (I'd rather not ask them to install a 3D card on the server to test it on this).

If it's not already available I'll attempt my own Knoppix remaster - probably starting with the GamesKnoppix version as this already has NVidia and AMD drivers included (I'm only guessing the company would be using either of these for their Windows based CAD).

I've just printed a page of the document on import-export format capability that has the list of supported formats so I can at least ask if the software he uses can save one of his current projects in a format suitable for testing it with.

Cheers for any suggestions offered, Nigel
