Does anything in Linux work *well* 1568 plus 1Does anything in Linux work *well* 1570 Mine isn't supported either. But automount mounts it every time I plug it in, and Digikam works with it just fine as a mbutt storage... Does anything in Linux work *well* 1572 Mark Kent I'll give you that. , reliability, uptime, While I can't say that the Linux... How did you ascertain that linux doesn't "see" it. Because you asked and it told you so? Where did you find a Linux printer? Double or triple your usage, then. You'll almost certainly see printer problems within 3 weeks of using Windoze. Until you at start patching possibly. I'm sure you'll last up to *that* point, but I'm willing to be generous and agree that you'll be OK all the way through the install, driver installations, initial patching, etc. Doomsday begins sometime around the next patching session, when MICROS~1 shoves things out the door to meet a deadline rather tna because they have fixes ready. I see. Slow learner. I was a reinstall expert, too. That happens when you (I) do stupid things, either throungh ignorance or simply to find out what happens, and having no idea or experience to figure out what happens next. If you have the abreastude (and you don't) it could be used as a learning experience. L-E-A-R-N-I-N-G. Ask you teacher what that means. That's part of that L-E-A-R-N-I-N-G thing I mentioned. If you did any, you'd know what to do to fix any repeated problems, and you'd have an inkling (after a year) to know what *NOT* to do the next time. Then you'd be able to avoid the inconsistencies you had. OK, I won't. Uh-huh. And the moon's made of green cheese. I don't understand. Why not clarify this inconsistency by filling in the last bit? It's easy because I made it multiple guess: I (that's you) don't need to keep my machine running because I (you again) am not running a server. Because I (pay attentin) don't run a server, who cares if I have to reboot once in awhile? I seldom have to shut down because it's stable enough to run for a whole week. I know that because I shut it down all of the time since I don't need to keep it running. I mean, *sheesh*! It's not, like, a server or sumthin' dyood! (here's where your turn comes in) I (you again) am: a. an idiot. b. lying. c. mixing things up so I don't know for sure what I'm talking about. d. simply trolling. e. All of the above Circle the most appropriate answer and send it back in. This test *will* be graded for accuracy. -- MyDoom: An original Microsoft web crawler.
