Don't forget your weapons today! 2953

If you do, then you are indeed a liar because there is an entire INDUSTRY built around fixing the many many many issues with that platform. Sure, Linux has it's issues. It always will have something or another that's messes up or doesn't work quite right for everyone. This is the nature of software. The greatest difference is that with Linux, if you take the time to resolve an issue, most of the time it tends to stay resolved from then on as opposed to Windows where everything is just a temporary fix. You mention that Linux isn't user friendly, but you are quite wrong. Linux and OSS are quite user friendly. Linux will tell you exactly what the problem is IN PLAIN ENGLISH and provide whatever information and access you need in order to get it resolved. It just doesn't get any more user friendly than that, unless you actually like deciphering 0x0000loveXX STOP Errors. It is a side effect of being overly lenient and permissive when it comes to layout, skins, customis- ability, sizes, etc... It's not that Linux is not user friendly, it's that users like you are not copy of Windows that's available for free. Since that's never going to happen, needless to say you will never be happy. You might as well give up on Linux right now, because you are using it for all the wrong reasons. As for me, I am quite happy with Linux. Sure it has it's faults, but IMHO they are far outweighed by it's bennies. -- rapskat - 11:06:33 up 16 days, 2:23, 3 users, load average: 0.15, 0.46, 0.32 "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." -- Arthur C.
