Predatory *how*. The details are important. Negatively charged lables like "predatory" are all well and good, but they are just rabble rousing until you define them. Has MS engaged in what I would term "bad act"? yes. Should those acts be controlled, regulated, overseen by the govt? that's another question entirely. You are asking an enbreasty that kills people, often with little justification, to oversee a simple act of commerce, however bad you might deem it. Be wary of asking the govt into your business, it's really hard to ask them to leave. A far more effective responce to the bad actions of companies like Microsoft, is exposure. When MS violates copyright, then spread that news. Point out that Microsoft, as a company, is a convicted pirate. MS is in trouble, market share is going down in the desktop market, and that's the only one that they have any real lead in. They are doing OK in servers, but Linux has seriously cramped their style there. While the winvocates prattle on about how Linux is "eating Unix" in that space, they carefully avoid noticing that without a near Unix alternative like Linux, the choice would be really overpriced Unix, or slightly less overpriced MS-Windows, and some of those shops would have gone toMS instead of staying with expensive proprietary hardware Unix.
