Despite what Erik wrote earlier regarding his considerations of GNU-Linux, the above quote from him and a few other sneers at GNU-Linux - which regularly seem to return - Erik reminds me of the right-wing extremist party here in the Flanders.

They claim to be a truly democratic party and to not be racist, fascist or national-socialist - i.e. Nazi - at all, but whenever there's an argument to be made against people with a different skin color or from a different ethnic background - e.g. a crime committed by an Arab immigrant - they're the first ones to shout from the rooftops.

This political party has recently changed names, as they were convicted for racism and hate-raising under their old name. They're still the same people as before, though.

pro-Windows-Microsoft-biased and blindly devoted to defending anything coming from the MS Ferengi world, regardless of what he says. It is however also my conviction that he can't help it. Too much exposure to MS indoctrination, I presume. He did state having worked for Microsoft earlier not too long ago, so it would make perfect sense.

To Erik, I say this...: Sometimes, when you've got your nose on top of something - in this case, I'm talking of your own ideas - it's hard to really buttess it for what it is, and then those who are standing around and looking at both you and that which you are scrutinizing, studying, criticizing or defending are often better placed to form judgment.

While you are technically quite savvy, Erik, your political credibility -in-casu:your reasons for being on this group and for writing what you write - has just taken a very deep fall in my opinion - not that I expect you to lie awake at night about my opinion.

Yet, if you take your posting onC.O.L.A.seriously, I would strongly suggest that you start re-evaluating your motives and stance, even your own self. Apparently, *we* know your own opinions better than you do. Or else you were lying through your teeth in that other post.

Sorry, Erik. It's just that you can't keep doing that shuffle and expect nobody to see through it. I may be impaired in the area of interpersonal communication, but even I see it all too clearly now - well, it's been brooding for a while now.

And if even I can see it, then that says a lot...!
