If so, they are at their most vulnerable in a situation like that. Complacency is dangerous. And, of course, they are starting to lose their grip in several areas. They haven't gotten any traction in the embedded space at all, games are losing billions, and servers aren't quite the rosy picture you like to paint. Now, for the first time in a long time, they are starting to lose desktop clients. Yes, they are definitely working on damage control. Yes, of course, they have a long way to fall and all that. Not really, they have plenty of OSS in place. After all, Google has a major site there, and of course that's running Linux. It's just a bureaucratic mess to install new software on those machines, getting them vetted and so forth. Just trying to keep you honest.
