On the point, my memory of it all is that the early versions of StarOffice, when they were free from Sun several years ago, did a very good job of reading the .DOC files from Word that I tested. There were some minor cosmetic variances in the display and printing of these documents, but nothing that would cause anyone otherwise wanting to switch to give pause. This stuff has been just around the corner for a lot longer than "only recently".

Why not enumerate these restrictions referenced. Why not show the part where they said that there was nothing to show that the restrictions had anything to do with actually affecting the Windows "monopoly" and so did not require any corrective action beyond simply proscribing their future use?
