Consider that they wouldn't even be here if Linux wasn't the success that it is.

If something's good, really good, then it will have both supporters and detractors. The attention that Linux-OSS is getting from pro, anti and "neutral" factions worldwide is absolute proof of just how good it is.

I think the presence of all the regulars in this group; pro, anti or otherwise, and the level of activity, is the best Linux Advocacy of all. Because it is an indicator of just how popular it is in the Real World.

It's amazing that people can feel so strongly for or against a software product, and an Open Source one at that! It's very rare that any product can generate this level of interest and enthusiasm, even amongst it's compebreastors!

So every time some troll posts some other derogatory comment about Linux and OSS, everytime another nym-shifting idiot takes the time and effort to write some long epistle about how bad Linux-OSS supposedly is in comparison how Linux didn't work with their Frizzlestapulator 2000: Just remember that if they didn't care, and if Linux was really as bad as they say, and if it wasn't as popular as it is - then they wouldn't even bother.
