You mean EVERY f***ing American?

Really? Sell it? Not invent it, develop it, create it? Just sell it - and retire early?

Let's hope not, eh?:-)

Really?

I find that difficult to believe. Refresh my memory - selling price of Internet Explorer?

Free 449
B Gruff It's the same selling price as Mozilla, Netscape, and now Firefox you dolt. consultation There are student discounts to allow students to learn about it without breaking their bank. I'm sure even you...

Interesting. Do you have the costings of Linux production handy?

Could we just digress a moment? Selling price of Internet Explorer is....? Current UK S.P. of Windows XP is £299.99 Current UK S.P. of MS Office is £299.99 HOWEVER, the student-educational additions of those sell at about £90.

Question: Are businesses being over-charged, or are students and educational establishments being sold-to at less than cost as "bait"?

Yes, that is (approximately) true. Do you have a problem with this concept? The scenery in the Scottish Highlands is as free as the air, but you pay for your transport and your guide. Do you have a problem with the concept? You would prefer that the Scots charged for looking?

I think that non-Americans can be quite diplomatic:-)

Please consult your dictionary for the definitions (plural) of "free". However, in that first sentence, you do have a point. The money, power, jobs, security implications, etc. buttociated with the O-S and with many applications found on the majority of the computers in the world today is held by a single American corporation. In view of the way that things are going, I can understand your distress.

Correct.

If I might borrow an Americanism, isn't it time that you, personally, got YOUR "poo" together?

"the fact of the matter" is a bit like a politician looking into camera and saying "honestly....", isn't it?:-)

Why? Are you suggesting that the business model is flawed? If so, why are you ranting? If you are correct, it will simply go away, will it not, and Microsoft will rise once more from the ashes, just like the phoenix. What are you afraid of?

You would need to explain that to me, because it seems to make no sense as written. Do you feel that IBM, Novell et al have been begged by the world's bearded, pot-smoking, Jesus-sandalled hippies to bail Linux out, and that these companies are now responding out of the warmness of their hearts?:-)

Are you an American? Do you live in Ohio?

Bill
