Got Linux to boot! 1540
I was not looking for the root cause, but simply at the silliness of putting out a disk image that can not be read by the majority of your audience. To not even have a warning is just silly. Agreed. Seems with Linux, though, that I as a user have to make many of the decisions as to what layout I want... a strength and a weakness of Linux. Maybe I will someday add KDE and GNOME to my comparison site: Not uncommon. Ditto for the Mac group. Then again, many of the Mac folks are trolls, too. While I agree it would seem silly - sit in a room of new users still in "panic" mode and see how often they read. Sure, it *is* a user issue... Hmmm, did not pay enough attention to the dialogs - does the button say "OK" or it is more descriptive, such as "delete panel" or something. OS X tends toward the descriptive buttons. XP does not.
