Great article 245
DFS Why do you continue to lie. You are worse than O'Reilly and Ann Coulter. Microsoft is a monopoly. They can use their position to bring economic pressure to force an OEM NOT to offer a competing product. How many times does it have to be said? That's what the Mbutt, DOJ, and EU anti-trust cases are all about. See above. There is no evidence *anywhere* in the form of independent side by side comparison or independent product evaluation that shows a Microsoft product was EVER better than its compebreastors. Microsoft funded pieces are not valid. No it is not. Show me evidence of this statement. It isn't true. Consumers have not, and are not, offered options. Microsoft has used its market dominence on cheap PC type computers to kill GEM, Go, CP-M86 and everything that threatens it. The difference is no Linux doesn't have a cental source that can be threatened by market suffication.
Again, you are being dishonest. read about standard oil and the sherman act to understand why you are wrong. And what is it then? Fair market value? NOT! No, they didn't. Windows was a disaster. Consumers only had DOS at first. When there was compebreastion on DOS, microsoft embedded bugs in it's applications to break if not on MS DOS to create FUD. Microsoft embedded code to break non-microsoft product in DOS -- ala Lotus 123. Then when Windows came along, they embedded code in Windows to break if it were run on DRDOS, which was a better product. Abuse of Monopoly Position is why people kept bying microsoft product. And the EU did a bit as well. With no real differentiation across vendors for price. No, but it isn't their place to limit compebreastion (now that they are legaly deemed a monopoly) The OEMs and consumers have been, yes. As established by the DOJ and the EU anti-trust trials. Again, a lie in the face of the facts. Ahh, the truth hurts. Great article 246 In the first place, Microsoft itself is not a monopoly. It has "monopoly power" as... Great article 247 billwg Hence monopoly. Yes, I was a professional in the industry in the 70s and 80s, and I remember many product comparisons, not one said a product was... YES!!! They should, right now. Pull out of Europe. That would be sweet. Microsoft would crumble without Europe.
And there it is. Despite all the facts. Despite all the legal losses, you refuse to accept the truth. Microsoft has harmed consumers, OEMs, and the entire industry with anti-compebreastive monopolistic behavior. Proved again and again. Deposition, testimony, everything. Proven as fact. Yet, you refuse to accept this. All your arguments refuse these simple truths, and thus you will never be able to have a truthful discussion of the subject matter. Active ignorance of the facts means you lose. Discussion over.
