How does not using the cheaper AMD processer equate with his professed aim of keeping costs down. Has Intel got an exclusive contract with Dell like the ones they are currently being investigated for in Japan?

You buttume incorrectly. They withdrew after threats from Steve Ballmer. How do you explain Walmarts success in selling a Linux PC?

Actually Dell is big because of its relationship with the vole. And the vole has been happy to keep it a box shifter with XP inside. Any attempt to move into other market would be strenuously resisted. Never mind put an Alien OS on their boxes.

They didn't give OEMs discounts they give them exclusively to Dell. By giving favourable contracts to Dell to the exclusion of other builders MS get the ONE builder to lean on.

As distinct from the WinTel monopoly deciding.

re: pro-Linux hype and lies::

By those remarks you demonstrate all the character traits of the worst kind of Usenet troll. There *is* no pro-Linux hype or lies and you bloody well know it. What we have above is you telling lies for money. In short nothing but an intellectual prosbreastute. How soon is the Guardian going to stop embarrbutting itself by buttociation and have you put out to pasture.
