Guns that the *police* have? Guns that are stolen from the national guard? Guns that are illegally imported from other countries by criminal groups?
Bans in the US aren't going to stop that.
Unfortunately, you are not.
Really? Gun bans stop people from *other countries* from *illegally smuggling* guns in from other countries? Gun bans stop them from *stealing guns from the police and Army* even? That's what we are talking about here.
Prohibition of any kind has *never* worked in the US. Alcohol Prohibition didn't work. It just put the distribution of it, and the profit, in the hands of violent gangsters. Drug prohibition didn't work for the same reason. Now you want gun Prohibition. Sorry, won't fly.

Liam Slider That can only be applied to the US. In Spain it's extremely difficult to get a gun. Even the ETA person gets their guns...
Ever hear of ignorant sterotypes? Also, the movie helped cement those opions of the US. Even though they are *not true* you twit.
Yeah well...the thing about Hollywood action movies is....they are *not* an accurate picture of what America is like. Nor are video games BTW.
Not true, only about half of the population actually owns a gun.
Mostly due to gang violence.

And, so, but, therefore?

Liam Slider We have two criminals. Criminal-1 have a gun. Criminal-2 don't have a gun. Now Criminal-2 *needs* a gun, and he will get it by any means. We have...
We've shown *elsewhere* that guns are *not* connected to violence. The cause of the violence isn't the guns, it's the gangsters, empowered by the prohibition of drugs. The vast, overwhelming majority of gun owners *never* comit a violent act.
