-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 On Wed, 16 Feb 2005 11:51:15 +0100, I call smuggling in goods, part the black market. Yes.
You made the equivilent claim for guns. You stated that since there was no "black market" for guns in Spain, the ETA folks had to smuggle them in.
It's not about convincing you (for me) I agree that I won't do that. What I can do, is show the errors in your logic, the flaws in your supposed facts, and let the reader judge for himself. Like your insistance that smuggling in guns to a country means their's no black market for them... Guns advocacy OT! 539 Jim Richardson The size of the problem it's the real problem. And you understand the implications of that? Almost every country in Europe it's the prove for that. Toys...
Several reasons. In no particular order. 1) I enjoy shooting. 2) I like hunting 3) They are a bulwark against tyranny. Without the tools, you can do little. Without the will of course, you can do nothing, but that is a different issue. 4) It peees some folks off. Folks I don't mind peeing off at all. 5) Crime exists, I haven't had a House Pictures fire (or more relevently, a boat fire) but I have numerous fire extinguishers on hand. I haven't had a sinking, but I have life jackets aboard. I have, the numbers you claim to have, aren't there. Show me where they are. Provide evidence for your claims. I understand that if you think so, that any claims you make to understand the US based on them are either lies, or you are clueless. I see that accidental firearms rests top out at around 1200 a year in the US, but accidental motor vehicle rests are on the order of 40,000 a year. Including pbuttengers, pedestrians, and other drivers. *Not* just the driver at fault. Bullpoo. In the US, those under the poverty line have free health care, they have food subsidies, they get subsidised housing. The don't starve to rest. In the Sudan, famine is a very real threat, in the US, it's something that you read about in other countries.
Right.... You'd show me the numbers, but, well, you don't want to 'cause I might tear them apart with facts...
